or written consent of the disclosing Party when pending cases are related to money laundering, financing of terrorism or related criminal activity.

Article 4

The Parties shall not permit the use or disclosure of the information obtained within the scope of present Agreement for purposes other than those stipulated in this Agreement, without the prior consent of the disclosing Party.

Article 5

The information acquired in accordance with the present Agreement is confidential and is protected by the same confidentiality as provided by the national legislation of the receiving Party for similar information from national sources.

Article 6

The Parties shall jointly arrange, consistent with the legislation and policies of their respective countries, for acceptable procedures of communication and shall consult each other on the questions of implementation of the present Agreement.

Article 7

All requests under this Agreement shall be made in writing. They may be transmitted electronically, or by any other means of telecommunication, provided that the requesting Party is prepared, upon request, to produce at any time a written record of such communication and the original.
Cooperation and exchange of information between the Parties shall take place in the English language.

Article 8

The Parties are under no obligation to give assistance if judicial proceedings have been initiated in the State of the disclosing Party concerning the same facts as the request is related to or if this assistance is likely to undermine the sovereignty, the security, the public order or the main interest of the Russian Federation or the Republic of Singapore.

Article 9

The present Agreement may be amended by mutual consent.

Article 10

The present Agreement shall enter into force upon its signature.

Article 11

This Agreement is revocable. The termination shall become effective from the date of the receipt of the written notification from the other Party of its intention to revoke it.
The terms and conditions of the present Agreement dealing with the confidentiality of the information received before or prior to its termination shall remain in force after its revocation.

Signed in Amsterdam on June 22, 2010 in two copies in the Russian and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of any disagreement in interpretation, the English text shall be used.
