Italy:
Declaration contained in a letter from the Permanent Representative of Italy, dated 12 October 1984, handed to the Secretary General at the time of deposit of the instrument of ratification, on 16 October 1984 - Or. Fr.
The Italian Government declares that the Government shall apply to requests relating to any proceedings in respect of offences the punishment of which does not fall within the jurisdiction of its judicial authorities at the time of the request for assistance.
The Italian Government reserves the right not to accept requests for assistance on the ground of non-reciprocity.
The Italian Government declares that the Convention shall not apply to requests addressed to the Italian Republic relating to foreign trade (exchanges of goods and services, financial transactions and payments) or to prohibitions and restrictions on transfrontier exchanges of goods.
