1. I have the honour to notify, in accordance with Article 11 of the Convention, the official holidays in Luxembourg or days which shall be considered as official holidays under Article 5:
a. 1.1 Nouvel An (New Year's Day), Lundi de Paques (Easter Monday), 1.5 Fete du Travail (Labour Day), Ascension (Ascension), Lundi de Pentecote (Whit Monday), 23.6 Fete Nationale (National Day), Assomption (Assumption), 1.11 Toussaint (All Saints' Day), 25.12 Noel (Christmas Day), 26.12 Deuxieme jour de Noel (Boxing Day).
b. where one of the above-mentioned holidays falls on a Sunday, it is replaced by an alternative holiday. During the same year, it is only possible to replace a maximum of two holidays, with the exception of the National Holiday the celebration of which is carried forward to the 24th June if the 23rd June is a Sunday.
c. for the purposes of Article 5 of the Convention, Saturday is regarded as an official holiday.
2. Where the nominal duration of the official or statutory time-limits falling within Article 1 of the Convention and presently called clear days is less than 10 days, they are increased by one day.

In accordance with Article 11 of the Convention, Switzerland notifies an amendment, with effect as of 1 January 2011, of the Swiss declaration related to the list of official holidays or days which shall be considered as such in Switzerland.
