1. The former Yugoslavia had acceeded to the Convention on 1 April 1976. See also note 1 under "Bosnia and Herzegovina", "Croatia", "former Yugoslavia", "Slovenia", "The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" and "Yugoslavia" in the "Historical Information" section in the front matter of this volume.
2. Czechoslovakia had acceded to the Agreement on 26 January 1976 with the following declarations: [1] "The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic will not be bound by article 29 of the Convention. [2] "The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic as a Contracting Party to the Agreement on General Conditions for International Carriage of Passengers by Bus, signed at Berlin on 5 December 1970, will, in the event of conflict between the Convention and the said Agreement, apply provisions of the said Agreement to an operation for which, according to the contract carriage: "The places of departure and destination are situated in the territory of a State which has made the declaration," or "Carriage is to take place in the territory of at least one State which has made the said declaration and will not be undertaken in the territory of any Contracting Party to the Convention which has not made the declaration."
