Annex 3

TERMS
OF MUTUAL EXCHANGE OF SCIENTISTS BETWEEN
THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES AND THE INDIAN
NATIONAL SCIENCE ACADEMY

(Delhi, 12.XI.2003)

The Academies will provide hospitality to scientists, visiting the partner country under Article 6 of the Agreement, according to the following terms.
Accommodation.
During the time of the visit, the host Academy will ensure suitable accommodation - hotel room (with bath or shower) and cover the expenses directly.
Board.
The visiting scientist will receive a daily allowance in compliance with the regulations existing in the host Academy. At the moment of signing the Agreement the allowance is:
In India: - Rs.500/-per day;
In Russia: - Roubles 470 per day for short term stays (up to 3 weeks),
- Roubles 300 per day for long term stays (from 3 to 6 weeks).
The host Academy shall pay the allowance in advance on arrival in order to cover the cost of breakfast, meals, and other expenses. The Academies will inform each other in case of any changes in the allowances.
Travel.
The sending Academy will bear the total travel expenses (international fares and the cost of travel within the host country) for its scientists according to the approved programmes of their visits.
The transportation of arriving and departing scientists will be the responsibility of the host Academy.
