mplementation of this Agreement shall be settled through direct consultations and negotiations.
Amendments or supplements to the text of this Agreement shall be made upon mutual consent of the two Parties and through separate protocols. These protocols will enter into force according to the article 7 of this Agreement.

Article 7

This Agreement shall enter into force from the date of the last written notification being received, through diplomatic channels, confirming the completion of the necessary internal procedures required for it to enter into force.
This Agreement shall be valid for a period of five years and renewed automatically for similar periods, unless either of the Parties notifies the other one in a written form of its intention to terminate it, through diplomatic channels, six months prior to the date of its termination.
The termination of this Agreement shall not affect the implementation of programs and projects agreed upon during the period of the Agreement's validity unless the Parties agree on something else.

Done in Damascus on May 11, 2010 in two original copies, each in the Russian, Arabic, and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of divergence of interpretation, the English text shall prevail.
