on a specific activity or research project to be undertaken, as well as suitable dates and duration for the visit in the partner country. Programme of the visit should be presented to the host Academy for the approval.
While nominating scientists the Academies will send essential information regarding the nominees preferably 3 months prior to the commencement of the visit; an Application Form (Proposal) is given in Annex 2.
The host Academy will notify the nominating (sending) Academy of the acceptance of the assignment and the proposed programme of the visit not later than 2 months after receiving the nomination.
The sending Academy will communicate the arrival details to the host Academy not later than 7 days before the commencement of the visit. The Departments of International Relation of the INSA and the RAS will act as the offices for liaison and communication purposes.

Article 9

The sending Academy shall meet the total costs of its scientists' travel from one country to the other and within the host country, whereas the host Academy will meet its guests' accommodation and living costs in connection with the approved programmes of their visits.
According to the financial terms specified in Annex 3 to the Agreement, the host Academy will provide the visiting scientists a suitable subsistence allowance for meeting daily expenditure on meals and incidental expenses. This should be paid to the scientists in advance on arrival. The financial terms stipulated in Annex 3 shall be strictly followed by the Academies.
In case a scientist on a study tour attends a conference or a symposium, the registration fee will be paid by the sending Academy. As far as possible the host Academy should be informed about this conference or symposium participation when the visit is planned.
If a scientist is accompanied by his/her spouse, the expenses on board and lodging of the spouse shall be met by the scientist himself. The host Academy may assist in arranging suitable accommodation.

Article 10

The visiting researchers should take out medical insurance prior to departure as the host Academy will not be responsible for any of medical costs incurred whatsoever, however, the host Academy will ensure that particular attention is paid to the conditions under which, in the event of an accident, medical assistance or hospitalization are dispensed to personnel exchanged in the context of this Agreement.

Article 11

Results and information derived from an activity under this Agreement shall be made available through normal scientific procedures. Intellectual property created on the basis of this Agreement shall be considered joint property of the cooperating institutions as stipulated by the inter-institution agreements, and protected in compliance with the international laws and the regulations of each country. If the results of joint research should be patented, the cooperating Indian and Russian institutions shall conclude a separate agreement to obtain legal protection for the invention in the territories of both countries as well as in a third country.

Article 12

The Academies consider it necessary that Indian and Russian scientists visiting partner country under the present Agreement should not be subject to any consular duties while getting entry visas in the embassies/consular sections of both countries.

Article 13

This Agreement shall go into effect on the day of signature and shall remain in force until notice is received from one of the Academies six months in advance of its intention to terminate or renegotiate the Agreement. Any amendment to the Agreement must be agreed upon by both Academies.
The Academies will exchange of correspondence and hold, when necessary,
