Following a communication from the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, I have the honour to notify you that, in pursuance of Decree No. 851 of the President of the Republic dated 18 July 1967, published in the Official Journal No. 245 of 30 September 1967, the personal identity card issued to civil or military State officials, whether they are permanent or not, in service or on retirement, will be a valid document to go abroad, to member States of the EEC and to States with which special international Agreements governing the recognition of the identity card as a valid document to go abroad are in force.
